<p>I want to make posts here a regular if not repeatable thing, for reminding myself that smiling is the key that unlocks the doors to my life. not in the smile it's always sunny hippie dippie bullshit way bit in the no one knows how to hit a guy who smiles about it.

yeah I get sunny happy days, being home with my family, makes me deeply happy. however the 8 hours a day I work are like going to war. making them wonder what is wrong with me, if a smile can bolster a fellow soldier in the cubicle army, well then why not.

the fact remains that a smile is my most basic tool, more versatile and powerful than any other. the Swiss army knife meets leathermen of the emotional world.

so smile because you were born with the best weapon ever.

because you don't own the worlds problems

because the world is beautiful

because you woke up this morning

because someone loves you.

because you are the only one in charge of your happiness.

what is this

for a number of years now I have worked in a path of self improvement. through all my reading, all the long hours of workouts, meditations, diet changes, work/life balancing activities, boundary negotiations, ect, ect, one thing has stayed with me like no other. smile because you can.

I could list countless studies that prove smiling helps your mental and physical health, I could find plenty of life stories that back it all up, but that is all already out there, and in my computers. no I decided to try to remind myself every day, to smile more...

so smile because you can

because they said be serious
because you are loved
because you were loved
because you will be loved

smile because your worth it.

Because somewhere a door just opened for you

Because someone loves you

Because you have friends who will hold you in stormy seas

Because you are you, and in all infinite improbabilities of life you showed up.

Because it will make the muggles worry what your up to.

Smile more... Today I will smile because it makes people WI.set. Today I will smile because my son brings me joy. Today I will smile because my daughter is growing up. Today I will smile because tomorrow I will be healthier than I am today.
